Landcover and other contributions to warming and cooling

Another learner noted that variations in landcover might contribute significantly to some of the observed regional differences. Some searching on this point yielded an interesting report from the national climate assessment at https://nca2014.globalchange.gov/report/sectors/land-use-and-land-cover-change there is a nice interactive graphic in this report showing landcover variations by region.
